The time has finally arrived! Taylor Swift is re-releasing 1989 which personally, I’ve been waiting forever for!

What better way to celebrate this monumental day then with a full blown listening party with your fellow Swifties. And to do that, you’re going need a few things, a few things we’re about to go through. But first, one more reason you might want to throw an epic Taylor Swift 1989 party.

Got a Swiftie in your life who would absolutely adore a Taylor Swift party? Or more so, a Taylor Swift 1989 party? Decorations can start to get expensive and we know all to well (see what I did there) that games can be hard to think up or come across. Well don’t worry, we’re going to go through that too!

#1 What to wear

Taylor Swift's fashion sensibility is truly extensive. She effortlessly exudes country charm with her signature cowboy boots and country dresses. However, she also embraces a different persona with her "Reputation" era, embodying a more edgy and gritty style characterized by leather ensembles. So, whether you lean towards her country-inspired looks or her daring leather outfits, Taylor Swift has something to offer for every fashion enthusiast.

But this is 1989 specific right, and lucky for you there are plenty of options! from her Eras tour to iconic fits.

Everyone gets hungry at parties and no one wants full meals. You’re best option here is to go with sweet and savoury picky bits.

Hosting a party can be challenging, especially when everyone is in that uncomfortable phase where they're not sure what to do. This is where games come to the rescue. It's ideal to have a selection of Taylor Swift games on hand, as they can be used as fantastic ice-breakers early in the night and can be brought out every hour or so to keep the energy high when things start to calm down.

#5 Photoshoots

What more perfect method to commemorate your unforgettable Taylor Swift celebration than with a captivating photoshoot? And if you happen to possess a polaroid camera, it's even more ideal. The instax camera would be an excellent selection, being both reasonably priced and suitable for individuals of all skill levels, whether they be amateurs or professionals.

I recommend organising your photoshoot to be in the middle of your party. Too early and people tend to act a little stiff. To late and people end up being a little bit too all over the place.

To take your photoshoot to the next level. Try using props. I mean, you’ll already look fantastic if everyone is in there era’s outfits but a good prop can really add to the photoshoot.

For Taylor Swift props you want things like blonde wigs and guitars. Inflatable guitars are great if you don’t personally own one.

#6 Decorations

Speaking of props, thats a great way to lead into decorations.

For a Taylor Swift themed party, I have 2 recommendations;

• If you have the space, decorate each room of your house to suit a different Era. Pastels for Lover, snakes and dark tones for Reputation etc..

• If you don’t have the space or want to keep it more simple. I’d recommend going with 1989 as it is the most recent release. It’s also a very identifiable theme. Especially with the baby blue colours of the new album.

Similar to the games a quiz is a great way to lighten the mood.

I have a full 4 round (including picture round) quiz in the party pack. I’d recommend printing of the quiz and naming one person with the most charism as the quiz host.
