After a damp and exhausting weekend of racing in New Hampshire, the NASCAR Cup Series is headed to Nashville Superspeedway. This will only be the fourth visit to the 1.3-mile D-shaped oval concrete race track. With Christopher Bell bagging both Xfinity and Cup Series races at Loudon, it will be interesting to see how he reacts to a long-length oval track.
Interestingly, all three previous editions of the Ally 400 have been won by Chevy drivers. Kyle Larson won the inaugural race in 2021. His teammate Chase Elliott followed in with a win in 2022. Meanwhile, Trackhouse Racing star Ross Chastain bagged a win last year. However, given how the 2024 season is shaping up, it is going to be difficult to pick an outright winner.

Unlike most of the traditional racetracks on NASCAR’s schedule, there’s limited data and track record to make a judgment call on the winner at Nashville. However, there are still no doubts regarding Kyle Larson’s pick. With the odds of 17-4 favoring the HMS star, he is still seen as the safest bet for Sunday’s race.
Acknowledging Christopher Bell’s dominant run, Sports Line writer Mike has picked Bell as the second-best driver with odds of 8-1. He was also in favor of a Kyle Larson win. The JGR star has just been on a roll with five straight top-10 finishes that include two wins at Charlotte and New Hampshire. It sure will be a test for him to continue his dominant run on a track that has favored Chevy drivers.
NASCAR’s very own predictor is still holding strong on Denny Hamlin as the second favorite to take the checkered flag, with odds of 11-2. It has to be noted that the JGR star has finished outside the top 20 places in his last three races and strayed away from his consistent top 5 runs. However, he has finished with a P3 and P6 finish in his last two outings at the racetrack, so a comeback could be on the cards this weekend.
Keep an eye out for former winners of the Ally 400 race. Ross Chastain with odds of 15-2 is still a good pick, while Chase Elliott, with odds of 8-1, can be another winning pick. Chastain’s numbers are impressive on the racetrack; he has finished inside of the top 5 places in the three starts at the venues, including his last year’s win. So the Chevy drivers certainly are among the safest bets.
With all three series—the Trucks, Xfinity, and Cup scheduled to race, it is going to be an eventful race weekend. And, for those who are not going to travel to the racetrack, you sure wouldn’t want to miss the action on TV.

Starting off, practice and qualifying for the Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway kick off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28, and will be available on FS2. The main event, Rackley Roofing 200, is scheduled to go green at 8 p.m. once again on FS2.

On the second day of the weekend, Saturday, June 29, the practice and qualifying runs are scheduled for noon. The Tennessee Lottery 250 main event will begin at 5 p.m., and the broadcasting partners for the race will be the USA. Cup Series practice and qualifying runs will be on the same day at 2 p.m. again on the USA network.
The blockbuster Ally 400 Cup race is scheduled to go green at 3:30 p.m. at the Nashville Superspeedway. Exclusive coverage for the Cup race will be available on NBC. With just seven races to go in the regular season, the spotlight will be on drivers struggling to make the playoffs this weekend.
